Here we are again.
They have new seats here.
I spent six weeks at the country of my birth without writing one single page and many more before I arrived and it’s not like I’ve even forgotten to. I didn’t bother trying cos I knew my hands had no chance at keeping up with the race of thoughts within my head.
And now I sit here in a state of emptiness. The kind I’m hoping is not what ‘Shunyata’ is supposed to be about cos’ whatever it is thats going on within me, it doesn’t feel like truth. And every sentence I write sounds like borrowed wannabe new-age jargon which was borrowed in the first place. So maybe I should shut up right now, except this is pretty much the last chance I get to put down some form of expression of the whirlwind inside my head on these grounds.
I am leaving this country without having made peace with it at some level. Indians have a saying ‘na is ghaat ka, na us ghaat ka’ (if thats how its spelt). Roughly translated ‘cultural bastard’. There are varying degrees to this state and I think mine might have moved up (or down?) a few notches these past weeks.
Namaste.
